Rough cut
The first draft of our short film has been intentionally uploaded without any of the sound effects (i.e non diegetic background music, dissonance sound and diegetic sounds such as footsteps and rusty hinged doors), so that the voice over commentary that will succeed after this video can highlight the changes that have been made in order to create a better product.

Double Page Spread- Film Review.
For my second Ancillary task, I had to construct a double page spread Film Review for my media product. In order to achieve this, I familiarized myself with existing double page spread reviews on horror films, to guide me in during the creative process. I purchased a recent issue of 'Empire' magazine, which featured a 5 page horror section, that introduced a lot of new horror films and was extremely beneficial to me. I took some screen shots of my media product to use, and i created some blood splatters to use as an interesting way of presenting information, because it
connotes to the audience the genre of horror. I fabricated the title 'Filmjunkie' and included lots of quotes from various directors like Scream's Wes Craven, which I made up in order to make my review look impressive. The background was created by sampling images on Google of static television screams, which I then proceeded to layer and colour red. I thought this would make a good background, because I think it's slightly inter medial to 'The Ring' which uses static TV imagery.
I then created a few paragraphs that inform the audience a little bit about the film and I included some quotes from me and my partner Cassie Shaw. My other ancillary product is included in DPS, in order to add some intertextuality to the piece, and connect all three of my media products together.
